Over the Edge!
The Special Olympics Howard County Over the Edge fundraiser was scheduled for Friday and Saturday, September 22-23, 2023. On Friday night, we had a great evening of rappelling, with 23 enthusiastic supporters who bravely went Over the Edge. The highlight of the evening was a live broadcast with Khiree Stewart from WBAL rappelling alongside SOMD President Jim Schmutz and Howard County Director Bob Baker. Saturday was not as kind as tropical storm Ophelia took over. After the governor declared a state of emergency, Saturday rappelling was cancelled.
