Over the Edge!
Our 5th Over the Edge event, presented by SOHO and the Howard Hughes Corporation, was held on Saturday, September 13th. The event challenged individuals to rappel down 12 stories of the tallest building in Howard County, the 6100 Merriweather Building in the Merriweather District in support of the athletes of Special Olympics Howard County. 81 brave individuals accepted the challenge for this unique opportunity to support Special Olympics athletes. Kudos to Special Olympics athletes Ella Cardona, Brandon McLarin and Thomas Smith who bravely rappelled! If you missed the event, you can click here to donate.
This was our last Over the Edge event. Thanks to all the sponsors and brave rappelers who went Over the Edge to support Special Olympics athletes over the last five years. In 2026, we will celebrate our 25th annual Inspiration Walk at the Merriweather District on Saturday, September 12. Stay tuned for details!
